We are searching for a Sales representative to drive sales in this small business based in Midrand. We are an importer of Industrial Lubricants with maintenance solutions for the Wind Energy Industry, Steel Industry, Marine and Offshore environment, Food/beverage Industry, Power Generating Industry, Mining and Quarrying Industry and Printing Industry. We are the sole suppliers of Omega lubricants, a quality product that is aimed at reducing maintenance cost in the long run. The Applicant should have a Technical/Sales background and should be very sales driven. The ability to communicate on a technical level with the Maintenance Engineers/Managers in all the sectors/industries and identification of maintenance solutions based on the evaluations done, in consultation with the specific Industry’s plant maintenance team, is crucial.
Sales Agent Responsibilities:
- Increase Sales turnover and customer base significantly.
- Develop new customer accounts.
- Initiate necessary activities in geographical areas where the business has low penetration.
- Attend to some of the administrative requirements of the business.
- Maintenance of the existing customer base and driving up sales (Upselling).
- Keep up to date on the technical information of the products available.
- Marketing new products to existing customers.
- Doing demonstrations for customers to introduce the company’s products.
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Sales Agent Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 with Technical diploma/background.
- Knowledge of Lubrication, friction and wear.
- Must have a drivers licence.
- At least 5 years commission driven sales experience.
- Exceptional customer service, active listening, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of company products, services, and policies.
- Proficiency with computers.
- Adaptability and accountability.
